A wagering requirement decides whether a bonus is money or decoration. It sets how much must be staked before bonus funds, and anything won with them, can be withdrawn, and it is the single number that turns a large headline offer into a small real one.
What the number is applied to
Read this first: the same number means two different things depending on its base. A 30x requirement on the BONUS means 30 times the credited amount. A 30x requirement on DEPOSIT PLUS BONUS means 30 times both together, which on a matched deposit is exactly twice as much play. The terms state which, and the gap between them is a long evening against a lost month.

The condition attached here is 35x, so the row to read is the one nearest it. A 0x offer and a 30x offer are not two versions of one thing.
Sports rollover and slots rollover are different in kind
A 5x sports requirement and a 30x slots requirement can look like the same obstacle scaled up. They are not. On sport each ticket wins or loses, and turnover builds in large steps; a handful of tickets at the minimum odds can clear it over a weekend, and a run of winners clears it while the balance grows. On slots, turnover builds in spins of a few dinars against a fixed house edge, so the requirement is met by grinding, and the expected cost of the grinding is a known percentage of everything staked.
That is why a low multiplier on a slots offer beats a high one on a sports offer of the same advertised size, and why the two numbers are not directly comparable.
The three terms that travel with it
The multiplier never arrives on its own. The minimum odds decide which tickets count at all: a short-priced favourite usually contributes nothing, so the requirement is met on real risk rather than near-certainties. The deadline decides whether the turnover is achievable at a stake you would have chosen anyway; seven days on a 30x requirement is a different offer from thirty days on the same figure. Game weighting decides how much each bet contributes: slots usually count in full, table games at a fraction, and some games not at all.
Why the turnover does not move
- A ticket cashed out early. Excluded almost everywhere, and the commonest way a requirement turns out not to have been cleared.
- Bets below the minimum odds, which are ignored rather than refused.
- Bets placed with bonus funds where the terms require your own money.
- Withdrawing real money while a bonus is still open. Bonus and real balances are kept apart, and taking out the real one can forfeit what is left of the other.
One habit is worth more than understanding any of this in detail: before accepting an offer, work out the turnover it asks for and ask whether you would have staked that much anyway.
